Overall review of the website
Today we will be reviewing the services of the cvpilots.co.uk company. I found their website rather boring and static. No, I’m not at all attracted to sites where everything moves and pops up. But this one is completely flat. Of course, my opinion is purely subjective, and in no case do I think that you should share this opinion with me. The website is designed in blue and white, and the home page clearly states that they work with both individuals and companies. Below they describe why you should choose them, company logos (probably the companies where their clients got the job, although how to check it?). Then there are prices for services, an offer to contact them by phone, and, of course, rave reviews from their customers.

What They Offer
As I wrote above, the company offers CV writing services to companies and individuals. With individuals, it’s clear, but what about companies? Do they offer a selection of candidates for a vacancy? No, wrong guess. They provide a so-called Outplacement service. What does it mean? If, for example, your company is experiencing hard times and is forced to make its employees redundant, then cvpilots.co.uk will help such employees to find a job. Wow, I’m sure they are overwhelmed with work from such great companies. But we are not particularly interested in this, we are interested in their services for individuals, and this is what they offer:

Prices, shall we say, are sky-high. A whopping 99 quid for just a review and professional advice? Other companies do it for free. Oh, sorry, I forgot to add that you will receive a CV Template. Wow. Did you also think that you are in the wrong business?
For £499, you will fill out their questionnaire, chat with them and get a new CV.
For £749 you get the same as for £499, only with a cover letter and a couple of templates.
But for £1995 guys at cvpilots.co.uk will work with you seriously. I especially liked the service of “Career Goals & Coaching Needs Assessment”. It turns out that if you don’t order this package, they don’t care what your goals are. They will also develop an action plan for you and teach you how to build a career for 7 hours. I’m wondering what should happen in the life of a person who has £2000 to pay for CV and cover letter to be “given advice on how to build a career”?
Additional Features
Probably an additional service is Career Coaching, for which many companies charge a lot of money. I wrote in my previous reviews about my attitude to this service, but I will repeat once again: Personally, I consider this to be nothing more than a way to make money on people’s trust. There is no live chat on the website, and their blog includes seven articles (not a lot)
Quality of the Service
When communicating, the guys from this company make a good impression. They behave professionally, answer questions in detail and clearly. I think that if this aspect of their activities were not at the highest level, they could forget about earnings. And so – no surprises.
Quality of the Product
Apologies for those who were hoping I got a CV from them. I didn’t. I simply feel sorry for spending money on such experiments. And in general, I do not consider it necessary. Even if we imagine that the CV written by cvpilots.co.uk would be ideal, then I cannot put them higher than 5 on a 10-point scale because of the price-quality ratio. I know that there are companies that will charge four times less for the same service. We will rate the quality at 5.

The whole thing is a joke. I can’t even imagine how it feels for those who have ordered a CV from CVpilots and then suddenly realized that other 10-15 companies do it for much less. They would probably keep telling themselves that these guys are true professionals, and the end product will be just perfect. And I can’t say that this is a wrong statement. But I know for sure that you can get an excellent CV for less than £90. Many will say – we prefer to pay more, but be sure that we get the best quality. But as practice and life experience show, the expensive is not always the best. That’s why we created this blog so that people make exactly the right choice.
